Dr Deborah Vaughan, after over 15 years of working with us here at Canna Surgery, has decided to take her retirement. We are sure you will join with us in thanking her for the outstanding work she has performed here, at Canna, in caring for the many patients she has seen over the years. We are also sure that you will want to join with us in wishing her a successful and happy retirement and we wish her well for the future. We wish to thank her for the excellent work she has done in that time and her commitment to patient care. She will be sorely missed by us and many of her patients. Dr Vaughan will retire from the practice a the end of April 2022.
Dr Caryl Wood has recently joined us and will be taking on some of her workload. We would like to welcome Dr Wood to the team and look forward to her presence here for many years to come. Canna surgery goes from strength to strength and we will continue to look to the future and build our reputation for excellence in health care.
If you have previously been seen by Dr Vaughan then you are welcome to see whichever of our doctors you prefer. Dr Khalifa and Dr Wood are Welsh speakers if you would prefer to consult in Welsh. Those patients currently registered with Dr Vaughan will automatically be transferred to the remaining GPs within the practice.

See below for more information about non-clinical support from our local Macmillan Cancer Wellbeing Coordinator. There’s no need for a GP referral:-
The Macmillan Cancer Wellbeing Coordinator service offers non-clinical telephone support to anyone affected by cancer and who are living with and beyond cancer. This includes patients, their families and their carers and is available to anyone registered at this Practice.
This telephone service offers you someone to talk to about your thoughts and feelings, and is also able to signpost you to additional resources, such as a variety of websites and helplines, or questions about finances and benefits, plus on-line groups for topics such as light exercise, quizzes, knit and natter or just a social chat.
You do not need to see you GP prior to making an appointment. To find out more or to make an appointment, contact Jane Breeze on 07929 027 324 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Jane usually works on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
